The sector's standard week and schedules
The hour limit changes with the nature of the work: the engine applies the right limit for each job site.
General rule: 40 h/week
Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, with daily windows starting between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. This is the sector's baseline, before the special regimes.

10/4 and 8/6 schedules on remote job sites
On major and remote job sites, compressed schedules (10 days of work, 4 days off) are common: along with the room-and-board and travel allowances that come with them.
The sector's overtime and premiums
Civil engineering applies double time as soon as the limit is exceeded, with premiums specific to the sector's specialties.

Two paid 15-minute breaks, an unpaid 30-to-60-minute meal, a minimum rest of 8 hours per 24, and a $21 meal allowance after 2 hours of overtime.
