Construction SMBs under the CCQ

Four agreements, sites everywhere, and a monthly report that doesn't wait.

Clic Horaire is built for contractors covered by Act R-20. The punch captures the job site; the engine applies that sector's agreement (standard week, overtime, shift premiums, indemnities) and consolidates your hours by worker, trade and site for the CCQ monthly filing.

What it costs you today

The site moves fast. The paperwork falls behind.

A construction SMB doesn't have a ten-person payroll department. It has an owner, a foreman, and someone in the office who also handles invoicing, bids and the phone.

The standard week changes with the site

The same worker moves from residential to institutional in one week, and the overtime rule moves with them. Applied from memory, it's wrong one time in three.

Hours written on a scrap of paper

The foreman writes hours in his notebook, texts them Thursday, and someone retypes them. Every hand-off is one more chance to get it wrong.

The CCQ monthly report compiled by hand

Splitting hours by worker, trade and site from scattered timesheets is two days of work: and a source of discrepancies the CCQ will eventually notice.

No way to tell whether a site is profitable

Until hours are tied to the right project in real time, a site's profitability only surfaces at the end, when it's too late to act.

A contractor shouldn't have to choose between watching the site and meeting their obligations. Both feed on the same data.

What we do for you

The site punched decides the rule applied.

The worker opens their shift from the job site. Clic Horaire infers the sector, applies the matching agreement, calculates premiums and indemnities, then consolidates everything the CCQ and your payroll software need.

All four sector agreements preconfigured

Civil engineering and roads, industrial, institutional-commercial, residential: the standard weeks, overtime rates and premiums of each 2025-2029 agreement are already in the engine.

The right sector, with no human intervention

The site punched determines the agreement. A worker who switches sector mid-week has nothing to declare: the right rule applies shift by shift.

Hours consolidated for the monthly report

By worker, by trade, by job site: ready for your CCQ filing as soon as the period closes.

Indemnities and contributions calculated continuously

Vacation indemnity, MÉDIC Construction, pension plan: calculated on the hours actually punched, every pay, with no parallel register.

The real cost of each site, live

With hours tied to the project, you watch labour accumulate while the site advances: not three months after it ends.

A punch a colleague can't open for someone else

Confirmation happens on the worker's own phone. Neither your company nor Clic Horaire keeps any biometric data: the device returns a plain yes or no.

Time off and swaps, without going through the foreman

A vacation request, a shift traded between two tradespeople: it all starts on the phone and waits for your approval, under the notice period you set. Approving posts the absence and removes the covered shifts, so the site's sheet is already right by the time the monthly report is due.

A typical week

From Monday morning to the monthly report

An SMB with 25 workers, three active sites, two different sectors. Here is how the week runs inside the software.

  1. Mon

    Three crews, three sites

Each worker opens their shift from the site they're on. The foreman sees attendance fill in without calling anyone.

  2. Wed

    A worker changes sector

They move from a residential site to an institutional one. Their standard week and overtime rule change with the site, automatically.

  3. Thu

Two extra hours to finish the slab

The sector's overtime rates apply at the end of the shift. Nobody has to remember the applicable rate or do the maths in their head.

  4. Fri

    Pre-payroll goes out

Qualified hours are sent to your payroll software. No timesheets to retype, no retroactive corrections on Monday morning.

  5. Month end

    The CCQ filing

Hours, wages and contributions are already consolidated by worker, trade and site. The monthly report is prepared from data that was never retyped.

The foreman spent the week on the site rather than in a notebook, and the office recompiled nothing.

The regulatory side

Act R-20, the CCQ and the four agreements

The CCQ does more than receive your reports: it holds inspection powers over job sites and over your books. Your punch data is the evidence, continuously.

Four sectors, four agreements

Act R-20 splits the industry into four bargaining sectors, each with its own collective agreement. The standard week, overtime and premiums differ from one to the next.

Mandatory monthly report

Hours worked, wages and contributions must be declared to the CCQ every month. Clic Horaire consolidates all three as the period runs.

Mandatory construction holidays

Two weeks in summer, two in winter, sites closed: the periods are recognised in schedules and the vacation indemnity is calculated on every pay.

Verifiable records

Geolocated punches by site and a tamper-evident history of changes: you demonstrate that the field, your books and your filings agree.

Frequently asked

What contractors ask us first

The questions that come up in almost every demo, with the short answer.

Our workers move between sectors. How does the engine pick the agreement?

The site punched decides. Each project is tied to its sector when it's created; when a worker opens a shift on that site, that sector's agreement applies to that shift, with nobody having to declare it.

Does Clic Horaire file the monthly report with the CCQ for us?

No: the filing stays yours. What Clic Horaire does is hand you hours, wages and contributions already consolidated by worker, trade and site, so the filing is built from exact data rather than a manual compilation.

Our sites sometimes have no cell coverage.

The punch is recorded on the device with its timestamp and position, then synchronised as soon as the network returns. The worker redoes nothing, and the time kept is the time of the shift, not the time of the sync.

We're six people. Are we too small?

No. Act R-20 obligations don't shrink with company size: it's precisely the small contractor who has nobody to spare for monthly compiling. Pricing follows the number of active users.

Do workers accept the GPS?

Position is captured at the moment of the punch, not continuously through the day. It confirms presence on the site rather than tracking movements: and it's also what protects the worker when their hours are disputed.

Do we have to change payroll software?

No. Clic Horaire doesn't run payroll: it feeds yours. The export goes to Employeur D or Nethris with data already qualified, which removes the re-entry without touching your supplier.
